The flat bag is a small shoulder bag, similar to a satchel. Its flat, vertical shape, combined with a long shoulder strap, allows for comfortable crossbody wear and also gives it the style of a simple shoulder bag, perfect for everyday use.
This model stands out thanks to its prominent use of leather. One side is entirely leather and includes a zippered pocket, perfect for keeping small essentials close at hand. The other side also features a large leather section across the upper half, and even a little more, while the jacquard pattern covers the lower part of the bag.
This design gives the flat bag a unique balance within the Poppies Shop collection. The pattern takes up less space than on other bags, making it more understated. It's a great choice if you prefer a more subtle touch of pattern, while still retaining the brand's signature textile and artistic aesthetic.
The designs are first created and painted by the artist Sqille, then adapted for weaving to become jacquard fabrics made in France. The design is therefore not based on a simple printed effect: it takes shape within the material itself, with the texture and structure characteristic of jacquard.
The predominance of leather also reinforces the design's sturdiness. Its character stems as much from its flat, vertical shape as from the prominent use of leather. After weaving, the entire piece is crafted and assembled in France by artisans, in a process that combines jacquard fabric, natural leather, and meticulous finishing.
